Quality Check from Litbuy – A Must-Have British Style Piece – Burberry Hoodie
I’ve had my eye on that gray Burberry check hoodie on Farfetch for ages. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it, so I finally decided to get a Chinese knockoff instead. It cost me just over $30, and it took 18 days from order to delivery via Litbuy. Anyway, here are the pics.

First, let’s talk about the check pattern alignment. The genuine version has a very neat check pattern, with every square perfectly aligned. On this replica, the check pattern on the front is fine, but the back is slightly off. But when you’re wearing it, who’s going to be looking at your back anyway?
Next, the hood alignment: on the genuine version, the center seam of the hood lines up perfectly with the center seam of the jacket. On the replica, the hood is slightly off-center—maybe half a centimeter. You wouldn’t notice it unless you looked very closely.
Underarm and side seams: The stitching on the authentic version is exceptionally smooth, with no loose threads. The replica’s underarm stitching is slightly rougher, and there was a small loose thread that I trimmed off. The same goes for the side seams—the authentic version is neater.
Fabric thread count: The authentic version uses high-thread-count cotton, which is exceptionally fine. The replica’s fabric has a lower thread count and feels slightly rougher. Lower-end versions are thinner, like a summer T-shirt. Mine is likely a mid-to-high-end version, so the thickness is decent.
Hardware and zippers: The genuine article’s zipper glides exceptionally smoothly, and the logo is crisp. The replica’s zipper catches slightly, and the logo is a bit blurry. But since the zipper is hidden inside, who’s going to be staring at it anyway?
Loop uniformity: The genuine version has exceptionally even loops with no skipped stitches. The replica’s loops are slightly uneven—some areas are dense while others are sparse. However, after one wash, it feels better.
After one wash, the garment didn’t shrink much, and the color didn’t fade. The fabric is a bit stiff and will need a few more washes to soften up. But overall, it’s worth the price.
