[Ink-Washed University Blue] Air Jordan 4 – Litbuy Unboxing Review: Just How Impressive Is This Best Batch?
Holy crap. Seriously, I don’t know what else to say besides “holy crap.” I bought a pair of Air Jordan 4 UNC on Litbuy—these were the shoes of my dreams back in college.
I know my AJ4s. And I know the UNC even better. From the original OG release to all the reissues today, I’ve been following them every step of the way. This pair, as you can tell from the pictures, is from the GX batch. The tongue padding is thick, and the mesh has a really textured, three-dimensional feel. And the Jumpman logo on the heel…
The package arrived yesterday. Unboxing. At first glance, I was speechless. Not because I was disappointed, but because I was blown away. The suede is amazing—you can really see the texture of the grain, the craftsmanship is meticulous, and there’s a tiny loose thread on the insole. The cowhide leather on the upper feels like a baby’s skin to the touch. The splatter paint accents are distributed very evenly.
I noticed an issue when I tried them on. The sizing runs small. I usually wear a 43, but this pair in size 43 feels a bit tight. Hopefully, they’ll stretch out after wearing them for a while. So, my advice to you guys: when you buy these, go up half a size.
Now, let’s talk about how amazing this batch is. The GX batch is currently the gold standard for AJ4 reissues. Why? A few key points: the silhouette. It’s upright and doesn’t sag. The Jumpman logo on the tongue is incredibly refined. The material: high-quality suede that feels incredibly smooth to the touch. When you run your fingers over it, it has a subtle color shift. The color: the hardest part of the North Carolina Blue to replicate is the shade. The color on this batch is incredibly close to the original. The details: the distribution of the splatter paint, the curve of the heel, and the texture of the laces—it’s all about the details.
The very next day, I couldn’t wait to wear them out. I felt much more energetic, and my confidence soared.
I really think “Made in China” is amazing now. I’m not just saying that—it’s genuinely impressive. The craftsmanship, the details, the quality. Ten years ago, this would have been unimaginable. I’ll keep hunting for the best batches from Litbuy.
