I made a killing on the Ralph Lauren sweater Litbuy bought for me.

To be honest, I never thought I’d buy Ralph Lauren on Litbuy. Yeah, that RL—the one with the polo logo. It all started last month when I saw someone posting a purchase review on TikTok. The price was absolutely crazy—less than a third of the retail price. I ended up buying three items right away.

I placed the order on the evening of March 15th—I remember it clearly because I’d just gotten paid that day. Shipping took about two weeks, and I was pretty nervous when the package finally arrived. When I opened it, the packaging actually looked pretty legit—it even came with a dust bag and everything.

Let’s start with the embroidery. On the genuine RL polo logo, the stitching is incredibly dense, and the thread ends are hidden perfectly. On this replica, it looks fine from a distance, but up close you can see some areas where the stitching is a bit sparse. Especially on the curved part of the polo mallet, there are a few stitches where the thread has clearly skipped. However, unless you’re staring at it closely, you wouldn’t notice it at all.

As for the material, the label says 100% cotton. I felt it, and it does feel quite soft, but it’s still a bit different from the genuine article. The cotton in the authentic version has a distinct, substantial feel, whereas this replica is slightly thinner. After washing it once, it didn’t shrink much, which actually surprised me.

The care label is an interesting detail. The printing on the authentic version is exceptionally clear, with all the symbols perfectly aligned. On this replica, a few of the washing symbols are a bit blurry, as if the printer resolution wasn’t high enough. Also, the font used for the material composition is slightly bolder than on the authentic version—you wouldn’t notice it unless you compared them side by side.

What surprised me the most was the fit. I bought the classic style, and the replica’s cut is actually almost identical to the authentic one—the shoulder line and overall length proportions are spot-on. When worn, it’s not 100% identical, but it’s at least 80–90% the same.

As for the price, the authentic version costs over 2,000 yuan, while this one is less than 600. Honestly, if no one told you it was a replica, no one would ever notice when you wear it out. Unless you’re a real connoisseur who gets up close to scrutinize the embroidery and the care label.

This sweater has now become a staple in my everyday wardrobe. My coworkers even asked where I bought it, and when I told them Amazon, they actually believed me. It’s pretty funny when you think about it—spending a little money to look like a big shot. It was definitely worth it.
